I'm just your typical blond Californian who went to Africa to build a hospital. In doing so, I caught the eye of the most charismatic, fun loving and emotionally intelligent Junubi imaginable. The rest is history.

Though it has been hard for some to understand our 10 year long-distance love story, we have taken that time to learn about one another and our love has grown (see the Adventures page). From politics to linguistics, government to computers, construction and healthcare we can be found online having an unashamedly nerdy conversation about it. We have persevered through intercontinental dating, an epidemic and, our biggest challenge yet, HCC.

On January 1, 2025 (Happy Birthday to the Entire Thuri Diaspora) we awoke to a beautiful New Year on Diani Beach and HE PROPOSED!!! I am a firm believer that our love can accomplish anything and we are so excited to be tying the knot and tackle the next challenge that life throws at us - kids?- hand in hand.
